I'm so glad things are getting better for you. It's hard on families to deal with medical problems. I hope things continue to get better for you, and thanks for the chappies. I know the boys are strong enough to take anything Faith throws at them as long as they talk to each other.

Thanks. My husband has faith in God and a great sense of humor so that helped. He spent 7 months in lots of pain with his toe and after all that, after the rollercoaster of it getting better then worse then better then worse, when he had his toe amputated, he came out of the hospital joking that now he couldn't count to 20 anymore(fingers and toes). He didn't feel sorry for himself or let anyone else do that. When we should have been comforting him, he was comforting me and our 3 kids. I guess you can tell, even though he can be an ass sometimes as men can be, I find my husband to be a pretty amazing guy. And things are much better so we're grateful. Thank you so much for your well wishes, it means a lot.

As far as the boys go, yes, they're just going to have to learn that communication is one of the most important things in a relationship...right along with the sex of course. *grins*

You have an awesome husband who has not let his problems get him down! I just spent the last 7 yrs taking care of my father who is a quad. Up until recently he was the same way. About 9 months ago he almost died and now he is blaming his disability and everyone else for every thing that goes wrong with his life. Too the point where he doesn't want me to take care of him and he has cut himself off from the rest of his children (4 of them I helped him raise so they're devastated). I'm not quite sure what it is i'm trying to say but I know that a positive attitude and family make a lot of difference. My husband wouldn't hang around because it was found that I could never have kids after the 5th mis-carraige. So you have a gem and let him know every day. Both because he deserves it and to keep his spirits up. Good luck to both of you.

Great two chapters. Loved the scene in Willy's bar with the demon clan being friends with Xander and finally the reconcialation with Spike. I hope they are wrong about Faith but it does sound as though she is stirring up trouble. Wonderful characterizations here.

Glad you enjoyed them. Yeah, Xander really is a demon magnet. As far as Faith goes.....well, we'll see. *smiles evilly and rubs hands together* Thank you for the comment about the characterizations. Sometimes, I'm afraid that I have a tendency to make them too sappy.

Such a great story! And wow, so many updates at once!

I am happy that both Spike and Xander have stopped being men and have talked a little. I think Faith is just jealous of their closeness and the obvious care that Spike showers on Xander (or, likewise, Angel showers on Buffy). She wants that for herself.

Besides, I always thought it strange how Xander bounced back from that episode (Consequences). With Buffy, and despite the fact that she could fight against Spike, it changed Spike radically, making him look for his soul. Likewise with Buffy.

And Xander gets a fabulous combo of rape&kill that is just interrupted at the very last moment (I think he had already lost conciousness and everything) and yet he doesn't seem really affected by it, or the writers, yet again, wrote him so superficial and shallow that it maybe didn't matter to him.

Sorry for the rant, but can you imagine what it would have been that scene if instead of Xander, it were Willow?

So glad you're enjoying it. I decided to update as much as I could since it's been like forever since I have. I felt that was the least I could do ( ... )

You are so very right about his commitment. When Xander says he's going to help, he does so no matter how scared he may be. But I think he does have a little problem with committing himself that much (meaning marriage) into a relationship. He kept saying he still loved Anya and wanted to date her but he couldn't go through with the marriage/kids thing. I know that a lot of Xander's problems were ignored and sometimes I think it's because he didn't open up to his friends, but this time he did try and they just gave him a hug and looked at him like he was crazy. As Xander said many times on the show, he needed a male friend that he could talk to. If nothing else, they could have had Spike be that friend. After all, they were very cute when they were in the bar in "Triangle" before the troll came along, talking about their girlfriends and how everyone thought they were crazy ( ... )

Thanks for the updates! It's great having that argument resolved finally. It looks like Faith is still going to be the bad girl this go around. It's too bad she's not identifying with Xander since they have similar backgrounds and he didn't 'use' her for sex which was her original thinking in canon.

Glad you enjoyed! On the subject of Faith, she isn't really connecting with Xander in this story because of Spike and also because she is doing what she did on the show. Covering her loneliness and her past by acting like nothing bothers her. I agree, there was a similarity there on the show with Faith and Xander. They always try to hide their pasts, Faith by sleeping around and then tossing guys aside so she won't get close, giving smart ass comments, etc. while Xander covers with a sense of humor and also a devil may care attitude. There may be a few surprises in this story, we'll see ( ... )

I agree. It sucked that Faith was supposedly big about doing the right thing once out of jail and avoiding her past mistakes, but she couldn't even apologize for trying to kill him. It didn't even have to be some big production, but it would have been nice for her to acknowledge in passing that she knew she was out of line and thank him for at least trying.
