Day 13 - Do you prefer canon or fanon when you vid (canon shots vs. using shots out of context; AU vs. canon)? Has vidding for a fandom changed the way you see some or even all of the original source material?
Depends on the type of vid. My "Magic Love Child" series came out of watching the 3rd season of Buffy and made up my own story of why Willow looked so jealious of faith and the two part saga was born all AU. I also never watch some of the scenes with out thinking Willow is in love with Buffy. My uncon pairing vid, I can go either way. But if I really want to take a couple from the show, I like to show them as real, but usually I start to run out of clips, so I have to make things up.
