Got my teaching assignment!!!
Now I know where I will be teaching next year. An R-2 class on Kangaroo Island. Wow. It's exciting and scary all at once. And I may be getting a three bedroom house to live in - or I may have to share. I'd prefer not after the house mate from Hell but I may have no choice.
Also got the last of the paperwork sorted today. Did my First Aid for Centres and Schools. I think I want to practice the first aid more though, so I'll see what is on KI I can do when I get there.
I also got a phone call today saying I need three units to make up the Education degree - earlier this year one of the course had the option of being doen as a six point or a three point. When I signed up to do it as a six point cousre I got a letter saying I had exceeded the number of units by three units, so I changed it. :Sigh: Of course, I arrived home at five to five this afternoon to get the message on the answering machine - by the time I rang the office was shut so I have to wait till Monday. Bureaucracy - feh!!
I began packing today, sort of. I went through the cupboards and took out all the plastic ware I had - filled a garbage bag full, but it's a start. I'm dreading going through the boxes in the junk room but it's time to go forth and sort - the Salvation Army will be getting what I don't need if it's not rubbish.
Bought a new mobile at last, with CDMA as it gets better reception in country areas. It's Nokia 3105 and it's cute.
