It's Crumbling

It is strange how I always believed that transferring to Mount Holyoke was not only the best thing for me, but something that would work out. I worked incredibly hard and did everything in my power to get to through everything, who know that mono was going to be the least of my worries in the grand scheme of graduating from Mount Holyoke ( Read more... )

Oh my gosh. That is horrendous. You MUST go and e-mail and/or call them and tell them you can't pay and that they HAVE to reconsider your financial aid package. It's ridiculous. They need to understand that not everyone is the kid of a diplomat or doctor. I'm still confused as to how much out-of-pocket they're expecting by July, but whatever it is, I'll have to borrow it in loans because we cannot afford anything, which is what I already told them. I'm already trying to get a job to pay for airfare, not to mention books.

It's so ridiculous how the people who aren't on financial aid don't have to worry their little heads about stuff like this at all, and then ask me quaint questions like, "Why don't you have a laptop? You should buy one" before they go off to ride their pony.
