What if the Immortal was one of D'Hoffryn's, I'm not sure what his title would be exactly, maybe Patron Saint of Spoiled Brats or something, but he dates Buffy in hopes of her making a wish, because Buffy is jealous of the Slayer before her who is known as the longest lasting Slayer in history. What if Buffy wanted to be known by that title instead?
What if the Slayer before Buffy was injured in way that she was resuscitated by paramedics or in the ER. In the universe created by Buffy's wish, she dies instead of being revived.
What if this Slayer was connected to other fandoms, therefor connecting the Scoobies to others. Who knows what could be changed, maybe they had backup or maybe Buffy didn't die in Gift.
So are you looking to do a story with the previous Slayer, or with Buffy?
If Buffy made the wish I find myself thinking that she was originally activated later, say when she was 17 or something, and had stayed that spoiled cheerleader that she was in the very beginning of the original movie. I can see that girl making a wish that she was the one everyone talked about as the longest living slayer.
In order to make the wish evident you need to show the other world.
Or does the wish get undone and only some people remember the other world?
Oh man I would love to read this. If I remember right there was two episodes dealing with wishes. One was Wishverse the other one I don't remember the title too it is where Buffy is locked up in a padded room after burning down the gym at the High School she was in saying everyone was Vampires. This bunny sounds intriquing. If you decide not to do it pass it to someone who has the time.

All sorts of possibilities.
I'd definitely read it.
