My facebook and email have been hacked. If you got a message that I'm stuck in London with no money, I'm really sorry. I have no idea what's going on and I'm trying to fix it. If you have any ideas on what to do, please let me know.

::massive hugs::

I saw that and figured it had to be something like that -- we would have heard if you were in London. *G*

I would suggest getting a hold of both Facebook and Gmail (they should have a 'hacked' or something link somewhere) and then scanning your system with free Avast! antivirus and Malwarebytes (also free). I can dig up links when I'm not in a huge hurry. Most of the time when things get 'hacked' these days it's due to a keylogger. DO NOT change your passwords/log into anything until you've done several deep scans on your computer. Also, I'd contact your bank and let them know as well if you've ever used that computer to log into your bank information.

The links above are awesome, thanks Rose. DO scan your computer first though, find your keylogger.

They g-chatted me. I was amused, and pointed out that trying to pull that crap on people who know the person whose e-mail they've hacked is kind of, oh...dumb?

And then I fired up LJ to try to post a PSA but you'd beaten me to it!
