I think the movie is an adaptation of the entire Incarnations of Immortality series, "On a Pale Horse" being the first book. This series, IMHO, is as good if not better than the Xanth series...although it's nearly apples to oranges.

Thats what I've heard too. And I'd have to agree apples to Oranges just like everythings he's written compared to each other.

Good series, I can't imagine what he's doing with what is apparently the eighth book in the series....maybe it's about Nox.

I knew about the movie from IMDB and Piers' newsletters, but some of that info is new. I'm glad to know that they're finally going to start casting...

(and if anyone was wondering, yes I'm the same DarkForest214 that posts on the IMDB board for Chameleon... unfortunatly it seems I have a comment for everything lol!)

I am upset about the fact that the person who wrote "Troy" is involved since he butchered the Illiad with that movie. I really hope this one turns out better than that one.

They've been trying to make this movie for years... As excited as i am that someone is trying to make the movie, I can't say I have high expectations. It'll be hard, I think, to do the series justice.

I completely agree. I mean they have all sorts of special affects but I can't imagine it ever looking as good as it does in my imagination. I'm afraid that it'll get low reviews because it will come out cheesey looking. But there is such a large Xanth fan base so I hope it all works out for the best.

Ditto, since most of the fun is from reading the puns.
