For those of you who have had contact with the Visual Guide to Xanth, what did you think

i want to get my own copy one day, i think i could handle seeing the illustrations actually. i already try to keep in mind how they live, so i try to tone down anything amazing i'd make them out to be lol

but yeah, i can feel you on that. when i see voice actors for a character i think is hot, with a nice voice, and i see who that hot voice actually comes out of... it kills the dream haha

I'll be honest, I didn't pay much attention to the illustrations (with the exception of the little maps), and dived directly into the lexicon (my favorite part from Golem). I never really looked at many of the characters as "glamorous," per se, so I wasn't so much disappointed by what I did see.

If you want illustrations, though, go for Return to Centaur, the comic that the Pinis did of Isle of View. It's hard to find, but they put up part of it here.
