I really don't think you attacked him. I think you pointed out something that that he probably hadn't thought of. Honestly, I get hurt if someone is mean to me, period. It has nothing to do with my gender or theirs.

Not that I'm immune to saying stupid, stupid things. I'm sure he means well, but yeah, to a certain extent, victimizing women to that degree takes a measure of unwittingly patronizing inconsideration for women's ability to be independent individuals capable of toughing shit out. I dunno, I thought you talked good. Maybe he'll factor in your perspective as a strong woman into his consideration. Or maybe your so wrong according to my logic their is no flaws in my logic.

I think it's a two-sided issue. Men need to stop talking shit to women and women need to stop deriving there worth from women. If psych has taught me anything (albeit with a biased sample), women are very much effected (affected?) by the things their husbands/boyfriends say, but I am sad that they put so much emphasis onto what their jackass partners say.

Basically, I want all people of either gender(s) to be independent and decent human beings.
