Storm came in tonight, so took a few photos. 15 second exposure at ISO200(equiv). Got a couple of reasonable shots, but as you can see, noise kinda ruins the effect. I tried to get rid of as much as I could in photoshop, but it's still very noticable.

Anyway, the lightning itself is quite impressive:

The pictures of the lightning are amazing.
What kind of spider is that? Looks kind of... huge.

It's called a huntsman... they're fairly common.

They're harmless. I guess if they gave you a nip, it'd be itchy, but they're not overly poisonous.

The lightning is awesome!

But... I've just decided that I can NEVER go to Austrailia. NEVER. I would die. I would be running around screaming the whole time, anticipating something like THAT coming up to me and trying to eat me. o_o

Oh dear... why do people keep saying that? The spiders are cute and cuddly, and the rest of the wildlife aren't as dangerous as we make them out to be. Come to Australia! See the sights!
