I got the results from my lab work back on the 4th today. Glucose was back to where it should be, like I knew, but the big concern was how I'd been doing on cholesterol, particularly my triglycerides.
TOTAL CHOLESTEROL:
Recommended range: 125-200
Previous lab: 342
Goal: 250
Current level: 155
SUCCESS!!
HDL (the “Good Cholesterol”) :
Recommended range: 32-78
Previous lab: 18
Goal: 32
Current level: 31
Dah, SO close! :[
LDL (the “Bad Cholesterol”) :
Recommended range: 0-129
Previous lab: Due to triglyceride levels, could not tell.
Goal: Honestly, just having things to where I could tell what it was at ALL would have been good enough. I figured it’d be somewhere around 200 or so.
Current level: 88
Did not see another success coming, but I WILL TAKE IT! :D
And, the big one…
TRIGLYCERIDES
Recommended range: 0-150
Previous lab: 1978 (alarming to say the least)
Goal: I figured having it down to 400 would be a good start?
Current level: 270
Not in “healthy” range just yet, but a 1700-point drop is definitely not bad! Since I passed the goal I had set, I’m calling this one a success as well.
So yeah, good news all around, basically.
