This whole entry is also a testament to why you shouldn't (or maybe should?) watch 'Merlin' with alcohol anywhere nearby.
*flails with you* OH THIS SHOW.

ALso, darling, thank you so much for your letter! Sadly, essay season has hit - may I be a horrible person and include my reply in your Christmas card? I don't have free time before December 2nd at the earliest. :(

And about the letter - that's fine! I'm caught up in end of term assessments as well. (Guh, 10k words due in on the same freaking day! Why did they think that was a good idea?) I hoped you enjoyed the letter anyway. I can't specifically remember what I wrote at the moment but I have the sneaking suspicion that I rambled quite a bit :P

I could tell exactly where this was going from the moment I saw Lamia and she didn't like Merlin touching her. Also, how stupid were the knights? Even the smugglers worked out that she was bewitching them!
Also, Gwen in a tunic. *sigh* My anal-retentive 'historical shows must be historically accurate' part of my mind was a gibbering mess. Its still curled up in a corner crying.
The octopus reminded me of Davy Jones from PotC.
My housemates watched this show with me. Housemate!S's reaction: 'This is a little bit homoerotic, isn't it?' HAHAHAHA, DARLIN' YOU AIN'T SEEN NOTHING YET.
Long comment is long. Sorry.

I sense fic coming on....
I know, right? I mean, I was helped along by knowing Keats' poem (I AM SUCH A GEEK, I AM SUCH A GEEK), but - oh, show. It pains me sometimes when I remember that you're really aimed at eight year olds. Slightly older, now that you're on past eight. Ten year olds, maybe. Some subtlety'd be nice, once in a way.
HAHAAHAHAHAH, MERLIN, HISTORICALLY ACCURATE, GOOD ONE, SOL, AHAHAHAHAHA. :S Goddammit.
*laughs* As I may have mentioned before, my very set-in-her-ways GRANDMOTHER once said "Gwen's going to have a nasty shock - there's more going on between those boys than the camera catches!" It worries me that these writers might think they're being subtle.
Long reply is even longer... :S

Fic? Do it. Please?
Dude, if it was subtle, the only people who would watch it would be the slash fangirls. None of the kids would understand.
I must admit, a tiny part of my historical brain dies every time I watch it. Seriously guys? I know this programme is set in the very specific and accurate period of Ye Olde Times, but seriously? The Arthurian myths should technically be sort-of sixth century-ish? If I'm honest though, I've never seen any Authurian story illustrations where they DIDN'T look like they'd come out of a SCA meeting. *sigh* Don't get me started on the SCA... 'high medieval times as it should have been' my HAT. Sorry. I get geeky. Tell me to get off my high horse, 'kay?
Hahaha, yes, I remember that. *cringes* Thankfully I've never watched it with a member of my family, but...
I'll shut up now. :P

I wish to watch your canon, and not theirs. *snuggles in it*
