A historic day

I've sent off a story in hopes of having it published in an anthology. The story is titled Waking up Dead, and it's the first full short story I've ever written. I don't have any doubts it will be rejected as much as I might hope otherwise, but every journey begins with that first step

It's a moment to be proud of. When do they close to submissions, so you can start checking your email every five seconds?

Submissions close on June 30th I think, and he says he'll have everything finalized by August 30th. He does say he may send out some acceptances or rejections early though depending on when he gets around to reading them and if he has immediate strong feelings about them.

As much as I don't want to get my hopes up it's hard not to imagine just how awesome it would be to have my first story published.
