Henry/Will
Henry nervously shifted in place, his hands wrapped around a small box. He had never really bought a Valentine’s Day present before, and wasn’t sure if he had gotten the right one. He had been with Will for several months now, but he still worried. Even though they had a lot of things in common, Henry was used to buying comics and parts for his computers - two things Will really wasn’t into.

Taking a deep breath, Henry walked into the library, where Will was sitting with a book. The other man look up, and smiled. “Hey,” he said as his eyes ticked to the box. “What’s that?”

“Erm...a Valentine’s Day present for you,” Henry nervously said.

Will furrowed his brow. “Valentine’s Day isn’t until next week, Henry,” he pointed out with a smile.

“I...I couldn’t wait,” he said. He moved over to the table, and shoved the box at him.

Will took the box, and carefully pulled off the blue ribbon. Henry pressed his lips together, wishing he would just hurry up and open it. When he finally did, Henry sucked in a deep breath and tried to gauge his reaction.

“It’s a journal,” Henry blurted out. “You’re always using little scraps of paper to keep notes and I thought this would be better...”

“It’s perfect.”

“Really?”

“Really,” Will answered as he stood and deeply kissed him.

Carson/Rodney
The screaming filtered through medical as Carson rushed in. He had known Rodney long enough to know his screams, and he was worried. Coming to a halt, he glanced at Doctor Lee, who rolled her eyes and pointed toward the back of the room. Rodney was laying on an exam table, cradling his left hand.

“What happened?” Carson asked as he rushed over to him.

Rodney, who was looking paler than normal, held up his hand. There was a fishing hook stuck in it, and Carson felt his eyes widened. “I got you a new fishing pole for Valentine’s Day, and the hook attacked me!” he whined. “And it hurts.”

Carson didn’t know whether to laugh at Rodney getting the hook caught or feel touched by Rodney’s thoughtfulness. Taking his hand into his, he examined the wound before going to a cart to grab a few things. “Thank you, love. For thinking of me, but you really didn’t have to put the hook on it for me,” he said as he started to clean the wound.

“But I wanted you to be able to use it right away, and Sheppard said--.”

“Love, you really need to stop listening to John. I think he rather gets enjoyment out of seeing you hurt yourself.” Carson quickly get the hook out while doing his best to keep Rodney calm. “There we go.”

Rodney gave him a look, and stuck out his bottom lip. “It still hurts a little,” he quietly said as he slowly sat up.

Laughing, Carson picked Rodney’s hand up again, and softly kissed the bandage. “Better?” he asked.

“Much,” Rodney grinned before he leaned forward to kiss his lover.

Rodney/Fred
“What’s this?” Fred asked as she picked up the box of chocolates from her desk. She looked over at Rodney, who merely shrugged.

“Don’t know. There’s a card, though,” he pointed out.

Raising her eyebrows, Fred pulled the card off the box, and unfolded it. “Thank you for being a good lab partner. Happy Valentine’s Day,” she said before glancing over at Rodney. “Thank you, Rodney. This is really nice of you.”

He shrugged and stared at his laptop. “I got them for half-price,” he said.

“It’s still a nice gesture,” Fred said as she opened the box and took one of the chocolates out. She popped it in her mouth, and slowly ate it. “These are really good. You know, I bet Doctor Taylor would love one. Think I’m going to take them down to his office. Poor guy hardly ever gets out.”

“Whatever,” Rodney muttered. He didn’t look up when she left. Instead, he continued to stare at his laptop, and deeply sighed.

Maybe someday he would have the nerve to tell Fred how he really felt.

Jennifer/Sam
Jennifer sat on the balcony and looked at the ocean. She picked up the bottle of wine she had, and filled her glass again. She was about to take a drink when the doors slid open. Looking over her shoulder, she smiled when she saw it was Sam.

“Evening,” Jennifer said as she sat up a little and watched the other woman sit down. “Just celebrating Valentine’s Day.”

“By yourself?” Sam asked as she raised her eyebrows before she sat down.

“You were busy with McKay so I figured we could celebrate later,” Jennifer said before a smile spread over her lips. “I have a gift for you.”

Sam looked over at Jennifer before picking up the wine. After pouring herself a glass, she sighed. “Thought we agreed no gifts,” she said.

“Oh...I think you won’t mind me getting you this gift,” Jennifer said as she ran her hand up Sam’s back. “I just hope I have batteries for it.”

Sam softly groaned when she realized what Jennifer was talking about. “I hope so, too,” she murmured before taking a drink out of her glass.
