Need Help from My Rattie owning Mom’s
I’m going to try to get a picture of it today, but one of my rats is injured and I need some advice from those of you who own rats.
I’m not sure if it’s an acctual injury or a developing tumor but Brutus (our least socialized ratty) has a growth on his left side, near his back flank. It’s lost hair and appears to have bled at some point. I’ve been putting Neosporin on it for the last few days but it doesn’t seem to be getting any better.
I would take her to my vet, but my vet is in the process of moving to a new facility and isn’t practicing until the new center is open (sometime after the 15th of this month).
In other news, I’m really worried about my Ratty Rat too. She was our first and we got her for Jazzys 4th birthday so she’s hitting about 18 months old. She’s suddenly started loosing weight and her fur is a bit scruffy. I think she’s starting to go as well. :( The next few months are going to be really hard on Jazz and I if she starts loosing her ratty friends :(
