Mommy told me some very, very upsetting and bad news today. She had to go to her vet (the dr) and he told her that she has that gross thing called "bronchitis" again. She keeps getting it and it is making her very sick and hurting her back from all the hairballs she gets. Her dr thinks she might be allergic to us! She was crying so hard before

Don't worry about not sleeping with your Mommy, she still loves you. Maybe she can give a blankie with her smell on it, so that you get use to not sleeping in the bedroom.

Thanks Suki! That is a good idea about the blankie because I do love sleeping on anything that smells like her.

Oh that is sad news! I hope her vet is wrong and you can slee with her still, but I understand giving it a try too. ):

Yeah, I hope her vet is wrong too. Once she gets some energy back she is going to clean up the bedroom and not allow us in there. I guess we'll have to see if that makes her better or not.

you guys will work this out. I (poly's mother) am very allergic to cats. i've acclimated, but i do have asthma. there was a time i was cat sitting for a friends 2 cats (plus my own 2) and my asthma was so bad i became cyanotic--my fingernails, and my under-eye area turned blue. i am seriously allergic.

how i deal--alot of sheet washing and vacuuming. keeping the windows open. hepa filter during bad times. grape seed extract during bad times (this has worked miracles for me--no more running eyes, and cuts down alot on the asthma). oh, and fabreez allergy and allermite carpet spray for the rugs.

there are also some new products to rub on the cats which cuts down on the dander. i can't think of the names right now, but i'll research it.

your mom will probably have to keep you guys out of the bedroom while she recovers, but i think things will work themselves out.

My mom says thanks for all the advice. She really apprecaites it. We're back in the bedroom, but only when she is sleeping. We can't take naps on her pillow anymore while she is at work. She said she is going to clean a lot more too. We tried me not sleeping with her for 2 whole nights and it was torture on both of us.

you guys should get jobs and get her a housekeeper! you could probably model, right? or mebbe act in cat food commercials...

I am handsome enough to model if I do say so myself. Mom said I'm too much of a brat to do any kind of work. A housekeeper would be nice though then maybe I wouldn't get yelled at for kicking litter all over the bathroom.

awwww im so so so sorry about the bad news tell your mommy to go to another vet to make sure the first one knows what hes talking about cause sometimes they can be wrong!! im sure you guys will be ok!! i hope it all works out for you guys!! so sad =/

Thanks. My mommy is letting me sleep with her again. Yipee!! She said she'll just have to clean more and not let us in there when she's not home. No more naps on her pillow, but that's ok.
