God damn Bush. Hasn't he ever heard of separation of church and state? I can't believe there are such insecure, conservative, religious homophobes out there who actually think other peoples' rights to live the lives they choose can affect thier own heterosexual marriages. I think everyone deserves the right to define marriage the way they, thier partner and thier spirituality sees fit, and no one should prevent them from having the same legal benefits other married couples have. Yay for Canada!
I totally agree with you me dear. It makes no sense how allowing gays to marry will threaten hetro marriages. It seems people just like to make outlandish statements in defense of their own insecurities. I wonder how people can justify the statements they make against it; it must be a weird confusing event. A lot of the statements seem to be blanket statements like "its wrong" or "god is against it." These are the same people who make statements that god backs their fraudulent wars, which are based on lies. Religion in the hands of man is worst then atom bombs; it’s the one thing that can and has torn civilizations apart. Don’t get me wrong, and I know you wouldn’t, I’m all for God but I’m not for using his name to justify something that is unjustifiable or using the religion he set forth as a way to make one’s beliefs more righteous then another’s. But yeah I’m going to step down from my soapbox before my head explodes. J
