So, in an effort to start updating more regularly, I'm trying to get away from the idea that I have to have something deep and meaningful to say when I write in here, so I'm just going to write when I feel like it
( Read more... )
and that didn't even make any sense, what i meant to say is: is that the name of the link, and do i have to do something else, or do I just type whatever into the quotes? and how does the formatting work then?
All you actually need for a cut is [lj-cut] and then it'll just say "read more". But if you put in the text="blah blah blah", you can put in whatever you want it to say.
LJ-cut: the stuff in quotes after the (text=) gives the link name, then just type the actual text to be hidden, then "<"/lj-cut">" (w/o the quote marks). I'm not sure if that's any clearer. Alternatively, you can be a lazy bastard like me and exercise bad programming style by just leaving off the end-tag, then the cut will continue until the end of the post.
Every time Bush makes a foreign policy decision I think about learning Hindi and getting my citizenship changed. Or learning Sindarin and moving to New Zealand.
grin... Hindi is a hard language... they have a list of consonants in that book, and there are four that are described as "soft sounds, no equivalent sound in english"... now isn't that helpful?
