Japan Earthquake & Tsunami

I feel so bad for Japan right now. Earthquake, Tsunami, threat of nuclear meltdown, and then now a minor volcanic eruption?

These before and after pictures made me cry.

At least, it's nice to know that the lolita community is banding together. So far, $2k's worth of donation money has been pledged to the Japan relief efforts.

Man, it's amazing what they can do with technology now O_O.

I've been trying to figure out the best way to donate. From what I understand Japan hasn't asked for foreign non-profit aid yet, but the charities are gearing up for if and when they do. I have been considering making a % of sales from my web shops go to a charity, but I'm not sure which one yet or if I'll go that route. A few girls have already started doing so and I don't want to seem like I'm jumping on a band wagon to look cool. I thought of making the little onigiri charms I sell at cons for my shops for the donation idea, but I've been seeing soooooo much criticism on DA over the stupidest nonsense, so I'm afraid of looking offensive.

If I don't do a % of sales donation, then I'll probably just donate a lump sum to a charity after I research them. So far I've only done a retweet and a FB page like for $1 each. I know one of those 2 has already donated 100K, hopefully the other one is legit as well.
