SO I got up to DC last evening to discover that Evan would be working till the wee small hours, so Hale had to drive over from his new apartment to let me in and to entertain me. Actually, I got back almost a week ago. We went hiking and walking and driving and biking, and we went out to eat,. and we cooked, and then Dave come and stayed for a few days and we went out to eat and we cooked and played Radiata Stories, which is an incredible game, with all sorts of fun character recruitment side quests, then Dave left and I ( Read more... ) -
Dave!
Dave shows up tonight! Late, but still tonight. Yay! We will be driving up to Tennessee for a long weekend, where we will hike and backpack and eat lunches outdoors. I'm more than a little excited.
On a completely different note, I didn't sleep last night, so now I am feeling pale and tragic. Also, sallow. -
Food

It is raining very hard today. I will comb my hair, and read The Wasteland, and cook something nice for dinner. -
Most destructive kitty ever
Her name starts with "T" and ends with "HORN." I bought groceries yesterday. Good for me. As I was putting away said groceries, I started with the perishables: chicken, beef, cheese, milk, popsicles, and so on. By the time I got to the Swanson's Chicken Broth, Thorn had industriously torn apart the grocery bag it was in, and chewed up the corners ( Read more... ) -
Shopping
I need to buy a new comb. I seem to have left my most favorite, wide-tooth, blue plastic comb somewhere in Boston or DC, and now I just have my scratchy, back up, not nearly as impressive comb. I also have to go buy cat food and people food, but the comb seems like so much more of an imposition ( Read more... ) -
