2 weeks worth of little news tidbits and gossip

Nov 29, 2006 23:32

So i haven't updated in a while so here it goes as brief as possible.

Wednesday 11/15 -

Nathan came over, some what mysteriously. I was really really pleased that he wasn't scared off after the last time..(see some earlier post). It was amazing as ever. I actually got the courage to do the "pull back from the kiss" and i said "i've decided I really like you". he smiled and i think he said "well i should hope so". It was just a really nice night. there was a lot of talking. I learned a lot about his family and just of how he feels about a lot of things. which i love knowing.

Thursday 11/16 -

I had to get up early and go to work at the grind, cause i told someone i'd take their morning shift. So Nathan got up and took me to work. Work was rediculous! i had to work under the command of the DEBBERZZ (if anyone works at the daily grind you know what a horrible thing this is) but some how stephanie lucas and i bonded over this horrible experience to the point where it was just funny. Work, I just slept and went to my classes etc.

Friday - 11/17

I got to hang out with Laura and Lizzie and that whole crew. It was what I needed. A little bit of causal drinking and girl time, cause i was about to kill my male roomates, for no other reason then they just aren't chicks, which is really not fair.

Saturday - 11/18
Jen and I planned to do serious homework etc. Instead we went to the Dance show and actually managed to get really good seats. The dance show was incredible and got us in this insane party mood. So we downloaded some Fergie and danced around our room and shot gunned a miller lite. then we got a little sexied up and decided to go hang out with laura to pre-game some more for the Dance Party at DPC. We ended up hanging out with Laura, Kate and this new girl Liz who I had only really met the night before (who absolutely fabulous!). Then when everyone was ready, we all went to DPC, which was lame cause it was too early so we went to a few other random dance parties at the town houses. I kept seeing Sam Birnbaum who I have had like a little school girl crush on since i met him and started calling him Eurotrash Sam. Jen and I somehow ended up taking Everclear shots at Liz's suite. I was def. impressed with Jen, she can't take rum or anything...yeah it was impressive. Anyway, we finally ended up in DPC and it was CRAZY, people everywhere. I was dancing with all kinds of people, eventually I ran into Sam again. And we just started grinding...like for forever. and it was AMAZING. it was like having some kind of middle school validation moment. I kept getting distracted by my friends and stuff, so it was all cool when we parted ways. I danced some more with some random people and then just called it a night. Liz and I walked home and called it a night. what an amazing night it was.

Sunday - 11/19
Was a recovery/ homework day/ OMFG last night was sooo awesome day. etc.

Monday - 11/20

Was working alone at the daily grind for the majority of my shift lamefest.

Tuesday - 11/21

We watched an great movie called Fire in the Mirror in African-American Expression about the Crown Heights Riots, and I was some how so deeply moved by it. It was the best piece of information I got out of the class. I went back to clean the room and pack up my stuff, I left around 6-ish. We (my mom and I) stopped at Panera for dinner, but I wasn't all that hungry, so I had a cup of coffee and cookie for dinner. On the way down, we stopped off at a HUGE liquor store in Laurel and choose our Thanksgiving wines and a lot of other party supplies for future LQ17 bashes!! It was nice to be home and be able to catch up on Weeds.

Wednesday - 11/22

Carmen and I went to back to good old CHS to give a poetry reading. It was actually A LOT of fun. We were joined by kids who had graduated in 2006, Graham and Dan. Graham goes to St.John's in Annapolis. This information and what he then elaborated on made me decide to make the destruction of St.John's my life goal. I will CRUSH YOU! For several reasons : 1. your school sport is croquet, apparently they play the Naval Acadamy every year in a heated tournament (this is actually pretty funny sounding and i am making plans to go to this years match) 2. they or at least Graham and his crew read the platonic dialogues outside of Whole Foods in Annapolis....for this i have no words. There are many other worse things to mention that arent as funny but AHHHH! Dan Wolfe goes to William and Mary and read an amazing piece from his novel. It was hilarious. After the readings Carmen and I picked up Martha, the plan was to go to the city and hit up federal hill, but it turned out to be pouring down rain. So we ended up just going to Towson mall. It was really great being able to catch up with each other, and then just actually hang out. My mission to find another cute dress was foiled. H and M was very disappointing for once. le sigh. I ended up going up to Jenna's with Conor to hang out with SJ. We hung out at Jenna and SJ's for a bit then Conor, Sj and I went out to Applebees and i got filled in on the latest news. When I got home I had some serious allergy problems from SJ's cats and bunnies. I had an asthma attack (yeah nerds!!) but i took some meds and it was alright.

Thursday - 11/23 THANKSGIVING

Woke up to a homemade cinnamon roll being brought to be by Adam. I ate the gooey hot center and then went back to sleep, just for the sake of tradition. Then I woke up and got dress for thanksgiving around 12:30 or so. When I finally made it down stairs everyone was already there (mom, dad, adam, emily, steve, joe gallagher and holly). All of the food was fantastic, especially my mom's stuffin' muffins. This thanksgiving was fantastic cause I actually got to talk to Joe on a level of equals. I was trying to read Gandhi's for pacifists (an assignment for poli sci due that monday), but i ended up just talking with him about college and music (turns out he too is an indie snob of sorts). Over the course of several glasses of wine and a few board games played, I had decided i was in L-U-V with J-O-E. For those of you who don't remember Joe from last Thanksgiving, he is the childhood friend of my cousin Emily's husband Steve. He goes to Georgetown Law School, has a job waiting for him at one of the best law firms in New York City (he's from upstate New York orginally). Yeah he's basically the whole package. We ended up exchanging screen names so we could share music. I ended up talking to him that very night, while I was typing up my work on Gandhi (which I somehow had managed to read through the drunken game fest). We talked for a few hours, I ended up going to bed around 4am.

Friday - 11/24 BLACK FRIDAY!!!

I worked at Borders from 8 am to 4pm. It was crowded, but never too overwhelming, I got to just stay in one place, behind the register which I liked. After work, I met up with Carmena and we saw Bobby. Which was pretty decent. I didn't quite get where Emilio was going with it until the very end. I am not gonna lie, i cried for about the last 20 minutes. Then we went to the Double T for dinner, which was great, I basically just ate a GIANT thing of french fries. Then we went to Barnes and Nobles for coffee and more talking. It was SO MUCH fun. I really needed it. For once I was really genuinely glad to be home. I went home and ended up talking to Joe again until very late.

Saturday - 11/25

I worked at Border's 8-4:30. It was pretty slow, so it wasn't as easy as friday. But I got to meet all of the new hires which was a lot of fun. They hired mostly younger girls which is great cause I can finally really relate to some co-workers. I ran into Rhett in the food court right after I was done work. I would have loved to stop and chat but I was too focused on getting out of Columbia Mall. I was supposed to go to Conor's surprise party, but my parents told me not to go cause they were worried about the cats at Brian's. I agreed and I still had a lot of school work to do. So I just hung out, watched some tv, ate some China Chef (which is truly the greatest chinese food ever). I went to sleep, only to wake up and watch more tv. I think I might have talked to Joe at some point as well, just for a little bit though.

Sunday - 11/26

Worked 8-3, got my mom's christmas gifts etc. Then I packed up all my stuff and got back to St.Mary's around 7. Unpacked etc. and chilled out, talked to Joe etc.

Monday 11/27-

Nathan ended up coming over at 4 am. I was still in a dreamy state when I realized he was standing over me. We kissed for a bit, but then I told him i had my period (and i did/do). So we kissed a bit more and I told him to stop by next week for sure. I was so tired, that when I woke up the next morning I was not even sure if it actually had happened. I thought that it could have been a dream, it sure felt like one (but that's how it is with Nathan). I felt bad about half brushing him off, so I sent him a quick im saying sorry and that i would come up with a 'way' to make it up to him etc. I wonder if I will see him before break...i hope so, I hate to leave things with "i have my period"..jeez. I should have just told him to hop in my bed anyway and just middle school this guy. le sigh.

Tuesday-Wednesday -
I worked and finished my European studies paper. Talked to Joe for a few hours...tonight it was like 3 or 4. I really really like him. I know it sounds awful that I am hiting it with Nathan, but am friendly/flirty talking with Joe. I like both of them a lot, so right now I am just riding it out (literally) and seeing what happens. I am still single, but if a chance for an actual relationship comes along (with Nathan or Joe or Sam or someone else) then all other little flirty things are out of the picture. I feel like this is the best I can do. If anyone else has any ideas ...let me know.
