Summary: Russia comes to visit China and finds China making soup.
A/N: Did not proofread or put a lot of thought into this. Just randomly felt like posting a story.
Russia knocked lightly on China’s door, waiting for a full three second before deciding it would be better to invite himself in.
“Hello?” Russia called softly, walking further into the house, “Yao~ Are you home?”
Instead of an answer, Russia caught a whiff of something delicious. He followed the aroma and before he even saw China in front of the stove, he heard the other nation hum a melodious song. Smiling at China’s slight back, Russia walked stealthily, sneaking behind China.
He wrapped his arms around the other nation’s slim waist, nuzzling his face into soft, black hair, “What are you making Yao?”
“Ah! Don’t scare me like that! I almost spilled the soup aru!” China cried out startled.
However, realizing it was Russia, China quickly relaxed in the broad arms- even snuggling in deeper to savor Russia’s warmth. They stood in silence as China continued to stir the soup. Russia laid his head on the small shoulder in front of him, continuing the song China was humming earlier.
“Are you going to stay for dinner?” China asked quietly, turning his head slightly to glance at the blond head resting on him.
Russia smiled, planting a greeting kiss on China’s lip, “Yes. You don’t mind right?”
China did not answer, turning away. Nonetheless Russia saw the telltale sign of a blush creeping onto porcelain cheeks. He chuckled, about to tease China when the other nation bought the spoon that was stirring the soup up to his face.
“Uh….” Russia stared dumbfounded at wooden utensil ladled with steaming liquid in front of his face.
China sighed, “You’re cold right? You walked a long way aru. This’ll warm you up.”
“Ah, thank you…but don’t you think it’s a bit too hot to drink right now?” Russia tilted his head inquisitively.
China rolled his eyes, bring the soup close to blow on it before offering back to Russia again, “If it’s cold, doesn’t it defeat the whole purpose of ‘warming you’ up aru?”
The Russian grinned, enjoying being pampered. He grabbed China’s hand, the one holding the spoon, and lifted it to his lips, slurping up the soup.
“Hm…delicious!” Russia wrapped his arms tighter around China, “What suddenly made you want to make Borscht though?”
China pursed his lips, refusing to answer. Russia blew in his ear, eliciting an undignified “eep” fro the older nation. Realizing he couldn’t escape the inevitable, China heaved a sigh, his eyes turned upward, “I was going to make it and bring it to you so we could have it together aru. There! Are you happy now?”
China turned around to face Russia, his arms across his chest and an defiance burning in his eyes. Russia only chuckled, pinching China’s pouting lips, “What a silly question, Love.”
He kissed China on the forehead, “I’m always happy when I’m with you.”
Russia looked down to meet China’s eyes, expecting to see a flushed face but instead was met with fierce, dissatisfied eyes.
“What’s wrong? Are you not happy when you’re with me, Yao?” Russia asked.
“No.” China said without hesitation.
Before Russia could protest, China pointed to his lips, “You didn’t compliment me for trying so hard for you aru! I demand a reward!”
Russia blinked twice before laughing. He smiled against China’s lips, happily complying to the smaller nation’s request.
A/N: Wrote it on a spur of the moment because I was tired of writing Hide and Seek. I needed a SHORT story to write. Apparently all the ones I've planned are gonna be looooong so I randomly thought up of a PWP one and so this one came about....
Please excuse the cheeeeeeeeeseeeey-ness. It was suppose to end when China stuck the spoon in front of Russia's face but it just kept going and going....
Oh I also wanted to post another story because a week is too long without a happy RC story (on FFnet)....Since Hide and Seek is gonna take a while, I wanted to hurry up and post a story XD
