i feel similarly about the cold. the impossible feeling of the first breath when you step outside. the way you can hear each snowflake hitting the ground. emotionally hardened by having cold wet feet. when everything is devoured by snow, so is any ambient noise. all you can hear is your own breathing. the night sky becomes a pale orange, the color of faded halloween decorations. the taste of the air, like that of a glass of icewater, when your already cold. yet i find myself extremely thankful for any sort of intense weather, keeps you spry. `jdly5
That scenario you just described sounds like my personal hell. I can't even function when it is cold. All my brain can think of is that I need to get someplace warm. I guess it's lucky that I live in the middle of the desert, and not in the middle of Alaska or something. How's the stuff working out for you?
the stuff seems to be working out well. perhaps you have not seen the true beauty of cold weather. there is nothing like takin a ride down a mountain (on a board) in a t-shirt and jeans. working up a sweat when it's 39 degrees. it's a very similar feeling to exausting yourself in the heat. just be weary of snow of the yellow variety. i really want to try sand-boarding. i understand there are sand dunes near here? also that thing with a mountain board and a kite, you know what i'm talking about?... nevermind. ~~~jdly~`
