January. February. March
----
March is the month of expectation,
The things we do not know,
The Persons of Prognostication
Are coming now.
We try to sham becoming firmness,
But pompous joy
Betrays us, as his first betrothal
Betrays a boy.

The fire within Adrienne had burned out since Valentine’s Day. Billie Joe had somehow managed to calm the storm that had been whirling in her chest. They had a wonderful Valentine’s night together. Adrienne had come to terms with Billie Joe and Mike’s growing bond, not knowing what was going on behind the scenes.
Mike sat down at the table, joining Billie Joe. He smiled as his lover stared at all the food that was laid out for him.
Billie Joe frowned, “Aw Mike, this looks great but I’m not hungry.”
“What the hell are you talking about? You knew you were coming for dinner.” Mike played along.
“Mmm, but Adrienne made me a “dessert”, so to say, on… herself.”
“I see. Well, I’m glad you two are back together.” Mike replied, shoving his chair away from the table and marching upstairs to his bedroom.
Billie Joe frantically got up and followed him, hearing the bedroom door slam. He quietly opened it up glanced in. Mike was sitting with his back to the door, gazing out the window. Billie Joe walked up to the other side of the bed and crawled across it. He seated himself behind Mike, wrapping his short legs around the bassist’s waist.
“You’re so easy.” Mike laughed, falling back on top of the smaller man and practically crushing him into the mattress. Air from Billie Joe’s lungs hissed out between his teeth while he giggled.
Mike struggled to get himself upright once again. Upon achieving his goal, he turned around to face the front man, “Can we be serious for a little while?”
“Do we have to?”
“Well, yeah. We do.”
“Oh alright. What’s up?”
Mike wiggled around a little, “You know how I came over yesterday night for dinner with you guys?”
“Yeah.”
“Well, you and Adrienne really seemed to be getting along… and well, it bothers me.”
“Why would it bother you? We’re always gonna’ be friends, I’m sure. For the boys.”
“I’m scared you will, or already do, love her… more than me.”
Billie Joe’s eyes softened, “No, Michael, never.”
“Promise?”
“Promise.” Billie Joe answered, kissing Mike lightly.
Mike grinned, “It’s just she’s your first and only marriage… it seems so strong.”
“Looks can be deceiving.” Billie Joe answered, getting up to go eat the dinner that was now cold.

Ah. Finally complete. I had some major writer’s block on this one. I new the whole “betrothal” thing was perfect but I wasn’t sure how to piece it together. I think I did pretty well. Yes? No?
Comments are the sex. As always. <3
