Ok i ma a dumb ass I bought a new hard drive for my desktop a 250 gig sata drive (serial ATA) I needed an IDE hard drive I am a dumb ass any one need a 250 gig hard drive $50

i got the computer in indy and it was fine it was the extra harddrive that was wrong

my main HD is fried... yet I have no idea what type I need. Or I should say, didn't know other then sizes there was more to look into!

if you open up and look at the cable that plugs in if it has 30 pins it is IDE if it looks more like a circit board it is a Sata

the drive you have should have one of them writen on it
