because everyone loves a late night post

Mar 08, 2009 23:15

This entry is basically a head's up...I missed the performance show tonight because it was my brother's birthday and the real world was calling. I will post about the elimination show tomorrow.

Also I need to put it out some where (and hopefully find someone to bitch about it with me), but what really, really annoys me more than anything else right ( Read more... )

ranting, twilight, late night post, no performance review

everytime i see anyone (sadly this includes middle-aged women) reading twilight/2,3 or 4 on the bus or anywhere else i cringe a little inside. i've seen the film (of course) but i got bored of the book at chapter 8. as for kristen stewart, why is she even acting?!!!

I think anyone over the age of 20 - 25 at the extreme most should be ashamed to read this series. Like it should be something they do in the privacy of their own homes and should never share with anyone. ever.

the film was a shocker. rumour is drew barrymore has been offered / asked to direct a movie...which could mean we actually get a decent version...
and with dakota fanning as a character...well we might actually get someone who can act...so the movies might get better...maybe..
i was just expecting them to actually improve the story with teh first movie and it was just a huge epic fail.

and i know, right!?!?! the thing that really gets me is all the magazine covers she got. Like i'm big enough to admit that i am one of the least photogenic people on this planet...i think she needs to realise that she is there with me. definitely not fierce enough for covers. let alone acting.

stephanie meyer had actually commented in some interview or something that she wanted henry cavill or something as Carlisle, Tom Welling as Emmett and Olvia Wilde as Rosalie. I can't remember exactly who else...but its on imdb in teh 'trivia' section...
how hot would tom and olivia be!?!?!

and omg so true!!! just try brushing the hair every once in a while to make her a little more bareable...lol

and omg. fail. LOL

HI! Why didn't I read this post sooner? idk idk. But seriously I agree with EVERYTHING you just wrote. I read the books because I was looking for something new to read and I'd heard a lot of "OMG THEY ARE SO GUD READ THEM RITE NAO" comments. And I will admit I liked the first book more than the rest. BUT, they are definitely not the best books ever written *rolls eyes*. I had a girl in my class last year who was fully obsessed with the series, and she was a nice person but I couldn't stand her love for these books. It's okay to like them as a cheesy, romance read for fun sort of thing. But taking it more seriously than that is silly. Edward and Bella do not have an ideal relationship, and I do not want to read about a cringing Mary Sue incapable of independence from a whiny, mopey sparkling vampire boyfriend.

join ontd_twatlight btw, it's hilarious. <3
