Self-medicating would be an exaggeration. I just felt like having a small drink. I was also very tired at the time. And don't worry, no matter what I was thinking or doing, there were people around, so it was ok no matter what.

Yes, kids can be incorrigible. (That's the perfect word.) That's why you have to lay the smackdown. People think that kids will behave if you're nice to them all the time. That's so not how it works..
