well, i for one, am happy that you will be back next year, though if you really wanted to go to mtsu, then i am sorry for you. if you embrace uk and all the good parts, you can learn to love it. i hate class, but i like uk. well, good luck with all of those plans. definitely you should be a tour manager for hanson and then bring me along, that is if zac decides against the whole marriage thing-haha.
ashley prater!!!! I lost your number and i was wondering if you are still down here my way. I have kept my eyes open but i still havent seen you on campus. let me know where you are. by the way this is whitney bush.

It's your biggest livejournal fan! My major, integrated strategic communications (ISC), would be a really good major for you. I geared mine toward nonprofit public relations, but you learn about many things, such as publicity, event planning, and account management, much like it would be for a tour manager. Plus, it requires very little math, science, and related yucky classes. I can tell you more about it if you are interested...

mmmm public relations...thats me. i thought about non profit because here at murray you can major in PR and then minor in nonprofit. supposedly though nonprofit minor here isnt really the best department, so i guess i wont do that. its on to an international affairs minor for me i think.
Also Lauren, i am sorry that you dont get to go to mtsu next year, thats sad for you. but that doesnt mean you cant still go to nashville sometime. i know some people that work in the music business that didnt go to school in nashville and dont have any kind of major really related to the business. so you are still good. hope you are still doing lovely.

to jessica: thank you for the advice! i had my advising appointment today and my advisor and i decided that it would be a great idea for me to major in pr and minor in business. the only sad thing is that apparently isc is getting hugely popular suddenly, and isc161 is open only to people that have previously declared the major. so, for now i'm out of luck in that, but i can take some business classes in the fall, along w/stats (blech). which stats class did you take, btw? i have to take 291 and i'm worried. oh yeah, my emphasis will be pr, too! fun times. i'm kind of excited!!
whitney: thanks for the sympathy. it's funny that you said that about not going to school in nashville, because that is exactly what i've started to realize lately. this major might just give me all of the experience i need before i pack up my things and move for good! (when i become a real person w/a real job hahaha) i'm doing well, and i hope you're doing the same, pr buddy. :) see you really soon since it's almost summertime!!!

Yes, ISC is way popular, and I didn't get isc 161 until my junior year, but I am still graduating on time. Plus they are hiring new ISC professors soon which will make the process easier. I took STA 200, but during a 4-week summer session and it was pretty easy. If you have an option of a teacher named Pamela Lancaster, choose her.
Also, not that Whitney will ever read this, but I interned with a girl at United Way who majored in PR and minored in nonprofit at Murray and really liked it.
If I would get my own live journal, it would be much easier to respond to everyone! hahaha
