so, friday chris, tiffany, patrick, and i went to see switchfoot at jillians in louisville. they were amazing! the setting was much more intimate than last time we saw them, because it was so much smaller (the last show we went to was at the state fair last summer). i think they're trying to stay grounded by playing smaller shows even though they'

not that this has anything to do with anything, but i hear john mayer is kind of reinventing himself or something, like playing with a lot of older people. michael said he was at bonnaroo and played guitar with someone's band, i forget who, but didn't sing or anything, just in the band. i guess he is trying to reverse his mainstream thing. anyway, that's pretty cool of him.

ah yes, w/herbie hancock! and he's going on tour this fall in a different form- the "john mayer trio," which includes steve jordan (drummer from bruce springsteen, the rolling stones) and pino palladino (bassist from the who, jeff beck). isn't that awesome? yep, robbie and i are hitting it up on the road!!! :) glad you think that's cool.
