Title: The (Final) Jealousy Story
Fandom: NewS
Pairing: Masuda/Tegoshi
Rating: PG, maybe
Disclaimer: Not associated with Johnny's Entertainment. This is fiction; it never happened.

A/N: For setolove, as part of my Happy Birthday!! event. Not my best story by a long shot, but I was kind of running short on ideas; sorry dear. I hope you like it, though.

And, for the record? If anyone ever tries to request a prompt that includes the words “tegomass” and “jealousy” again, I will have to hunt them down and shoot them. Never. Again. [\banned prompt] Well, not really. Let's just avoid this prompt next time, okay guys? XD

Massu drums his fingers against the tabletop impatiently, lips forming a thin line as he half-glares at the man sitting across from him. “Are you done?”

Tegoshi glances back at him from where he’d been blowing a kiss at a girl across the room. “Hm?” Massu motioned wordlessly at the plates of just-arrived food in front of them both, expression one of barely restrained irritation and annoyance. “Oh, yummy.” The younger man twists back around in his seat and tosses a casual grin at the waitress setting their drinks down, blatantly ignorant the mutinous aura coming off his partner in waves. “Looks good, thank you.”

The girl giggles helplessly. Massu’s fingers tighten around his chopsticks.

Tegoshi continues his shameless flirting for a moment longer before letting her get back to work with a parting wink, turning to Massu like nothing’s happened. “The service here is always so friendly.” He comments, almost absently, like it’s a natural phenomena and not something coming about because of hormonal teenage girls swooning to impress the idol in their midst.

Massu makes a non-committal noise, not trusting himself enough to open his mouth. It takes a great deal of self-control to remind himself that regardless of how it looks, he can’t really blame Tegoshi; he knows full well that the younger man doesn’t do it on purpose.

Tegoshi is a natural flirt, after all. Masuda has experienced it first hand enough times to know that the other man doesn’t even realize he’s doing it, most times. It’s just... him, in the same way that his voice is, or his taste in clothes, or his penchant for liking yappy dogs that enjoy nibbling on Massu’s toes. It’s a part of Tegoshi; a frustratingly maddening one, for sure, but a part of him nonetheless, and therefore something that Massu loves, by default.

Still, that doesn’t mean he can’t hate it just as much.

Next time, he decides, watching as Tegoshi pauses in his meal to smile benevolently at a passing host, we’re staying in.
