Does anybody have the DVD kit that was released to make old Xboxes play DVDs? Do they actually work okay? Because my DVD player just crapped out on me, and it'd be a lot cheaper to get a $5 kit for my Xbox than a new DVD player.

I still use my Xbox as my sole DVD player. It works quite well, in my opinion!

I had a modded xbox, so it played DVDs without the kit.

After some years I got the kit, just for guests, so they would know which button to press. :)
