i love to sketch, but everything's better when i have a model to draw from. recently, though, i haven't been able to get my faces right since all the models in the magazines look scarily aribrushed.

in their perfection they've become... well, almost revolting.
any thoughts?

i hate how we always yearn to be better, to look better; we do this subconsciously. without even meaning too. society has beaten these things into our heads. and when you step back and look at things, it's really very scary.

i know, sometimes i just have to take a step back ang go, 'why am i doing this again? is it because i want to, i actually love doing this, and it will make me happy, or i feel like i should because everyone else is doing it?'
it annoys me to no end.

you're amazing, sorry my comments are a bit outdated, i was in washington state for the week and couldnt reach a computer. but i cant write things like that, but that's exactly how i feel about this country. everyone's aspect of beauty seems warped to me. "being beautiful" is a really big weight on careers a lot of the time, and almost ALWAYS in relationships. i think we should try out that "not showing any peice of skin" technique and see what happens then. once again, you're amazing.
