schedule!

One of the best friends in the entire universe called me today, six states north of here. "Check your mailbox!" she shrieked excitedly. I haven't run that fast in, well, ever, and I doubt I'll be that anxious when the college acceptance/rejection letters arrive.

Here's how I'll spend my year:

Homeroom, L3, Turiello
1) Pre-Calculus - Piro -2403
2) ( Read more... )

French Language - our school doesn't offer Lit. I thought you were approved at the end of last semester, you posted something about that. I am extremely impressed; you must be an excellent speaker. How long have you been studying French? What language courses are you planning to take your junior and senior years, then?

Ah. I'll say it for the millionth time, I envy you.
And I started learning French in secondary, so I'm sure AP won't be too difficult for the likes of you. :)

your schedule and ap english assignments reminded me that i have to do 3 literary journals and an essay on the poisonwood bible. i'm waiting to see who i get as a teacher though, because if i get my honors teacher from freshman and sophomore years, i can turn it in late and it won't count against me.

For some reason, they all have this idea that I'm some nose-to-the-grindstone, outstanding-work-ethic, do-it-with-a-smile-on-her-face kid

all of my teachers think that. it can come quite in handy, though.

i know, i love that. i make a point of not sucking up to my teachers, because most of them can see right through that. i just treat them with respect and get my work done (eventually), and most of 'em are pretty good about letting us do what we want.
at least you have a good book to read. bless me, ultima is about a six-year-old latino boy who has a healer woman come visit his family. i'm on page 2 and i already wish it was over with.

ah, the joys of a higher education. well, from the look of your schedule (and from what i gather by reading your journal) you are a very smart girl, and i'm sure you will excell in all of your classes. and don't worry, the school year will be over before you know it, and soon you will be wishing you could go back! much luck & love, dove.

actually, that is very funny, because i was thinking about it the other day. i am the last person on earth who anyone would ever expect getting all weepy and nostalgic over the end of high school. but i was at a meeting a couple of days ago, planning this year's freshman orientation with a couple of my best friends, and i looked around and thought, 'wow. i am really going to miss this.'
