i don't understand the allure of myspace. cheap entertainment, perhaps? i think that's also why people venture off to vegas. also, being shy really stinks.
yeah, i never really understood myspace either. i think it's just a "feel good" forum where people bask in all of the comments that go something like this--"omgz ur sooooo hottttttt!"
to answer all, i have a myspace and for the record noone has said "omgz your sooooo hott". its just a place where me n my friends leave inside jokes n messages to eachother. i dont know whats so alluring about it but i made it one night cause i was bored n now im addicted to it. maybe its cause mike (the boy i like) is my friend on it n its a way to keep in contact with him (which came in handy during november, jeanne knows why). but one will never be able to unlock the mystery behind the addiction to myspace...just that once your hooked, your hooked.
aha, BUT you must admit, my dear jessica, it was pretty funny when dave was like, "oh, everyone on here is so shallow, it's about posting pictures and comenting on how great everyone looks and how much you want to hook up with everyone else. what a stupid thing to do!" and then this girl whose userpicture had cleavage practically busting out of the frame commented and was like, "you are so right, david. i hate how myspace is all about looks and no depth. you couldn't have said it better." i could make a really vicious joke at the expense of the idiocy displayed above, but i think i'll abstain from cheap comments and let the hypocrisy of the morons who occupy our hallways (and those in close proximity to our own) speak for themselves. also, j-ba, i love you. <3
I personally joined myspace to talk to a computer idiot friend of mine from Japan. After being a member for about two hours I lost a good chunk of faith in humanity.
Now I go on now and then to say Hi to my friend.
To answer your question, no, no clue why it is appealing.
