I realize this will be my second entry for the day, but i have just returned from my Critical and Ethical thinking class, where over the past year, i have learned a lot about myself and people in general. but, the point is, below is an excerpt of our book.(or todays discussion) A 21st Century Ethical Toolbox. by Anthony Weston.

I think that when it comes ethics, I would have to consider how all sin is absolute. That means that I believe every sin as outlined in the Word is wrong (and needed to be forgiven by God) under every single circumstance. So, I believe that in this example, the man should not have stolen the medicine. I think that consider of ethics in circumstantial terms is a very slippery slope. It starts with justifying stealing for "noble" causes, but it very quickly degenerates. Either stealing (lying, cheating, or whatever) is wrong under every situation or it is a movable line depending on the person making the choice at the time ( ... )

well said...and a great comparison with Abraham and Sarah as well.
