HAHAHA MY FIRST EL-JAY JOURNAL ENTRY
(AND I'M STILL A NOOOOB!)
And if you don't care about MCR concert experiances or whatever, you probably wouldn't find this that interesting... (just a warning)

Kk, this might be long cause I'm a dweller on details, but I'll try to not make it too boring (it'll never be to me! X3) And besides, it's been over two months ago ._.
And there's a few pics... we only had a disposable camera, so they're pretty crappy... and I didn't post any of me, cause haha, they were horrible
So... My sister and her boyfriend dropped us (just Chels and I! all alone! ha!) off at the venue at around 11am (doors opened at 6:30pm) We were 23/24th in live, which was super cool = D I was so excited, and kinda nervous...bless those porta-potties/handwashers that I didn't know were gonna be there 8D
You can imagine we got bored a lot. We walked around a bit, kinda looking for their tour bus. We didn't see it all, it was a ninja!bus D8>
At one point in line, we heard them do sound check (we swore it was them, it sure sounded like it..) We were against a window, so we stood there with our ears pressed against the glass, straining our hearing and giggling excitingly ^w^
There's Chelsea doing her "YEAH!!" pose while we're waiting in line =3 ...
When there was only a couple hours left in line, and a much bigger line, some radio station came and blared all three cds. Chels and I were the closest to it, I couldn't help my excitement to dance and sing 8DDD
I had my Gerard plushie and people liked him =333
This is Chelsea and Gee-plush the hockey player, next to Ray Emery goalie of the Ottawa Senators, and that's the only name I can remember xD
((the show was at the Molson Amphitheatre, home of the Ottawa Sens..))
All we had to eat were cookies, granola bars, candy, crackers, and brownies. And water to drink XD Poor Chelsea wasn't feeling well all day, but those kinda things couldn't outweigh our excitement... who wouldn't want to be hyper before the show anyways?
So when it came to around 40 or so mins left to opened doors (the doors were already opened actually, there was a merch table right inside so some people were in there a bit), all of a sudden people were rushing in, confusing Chelsea and I a bit, so by the time we were inside there were already bunches of people (yeah so much for our awesome spot in line!)
I was so nervous and excited, Chelsea and I were holding hands the whole time, she kept complaining about my sweaty clamyness...
And people were so packed against each other, I had some chick's ass against mine XD (she was facing towards her bf or something)
So then after around half an hour or more (can't remember..so nervous xD), the ticket peoples started letting people through, and there were two different ways to go, so to me, and prob to the many others, it wasnt' really fair..
But finally Chelsea and I got to the ticket people, they took our bag of food away, which was ok X]. Chelsea had our crappy little camera down her poofy shirt, which was a perfect hiding spot, but they didn't even check our pockets for cameras or anything XD
After all that, we practically ran through the doors into the hallway, and went through the first doorway through to the stadium we saw, which was huge, I've never been in a big hockey stadium before X3 There was already like a hundred people before the stage, but we ran to the bottom anyways, where we had to wait in line for our bracelets (you had to wear a bracelet if you had general admission, which is when you're on the floor). The floor where all the seats were was sticky and gross XP
So after our bracelets, we ran to the crowd and took our spot somewhere along the left of the stage, where Frankie would be. There were two really short girls in front of us, with really long hair, which was annoying, because ya, in no time everyone had very little room to move around... We stood waiting for what seemed like hours, some people even sat down, which was even more annoying. They were playing music on the speaker intercom things, and when Basket Case by GD came on, half of the crowd sang along =]
When the time finally came, The Bled came on stage. I didn't know who they were cause I've never listened to them before, and even Chelsea didn't realize it was them, when she listens to them all the time o_o.... I thought they were pretty good, even though it seemed to me they were playing too many songs XD The crowd was crazy of course that a band was playing, but the crowd wasn't too rough. I was holding on Chelsea the whole time, and for some reason her back was facing the stage most of the time, but omg (bless her), she was pulling us (or trying very hard), through the crowd closer to the stage. She was so determined X3 By the time The Bled was finished their set, we went from 7-10 people between the barrier and us, to 2-4. I was so proud of her =D
But after The Bled was finished, Chels and I somehow ended up behind these three tall adults. It was really frustrating not being able to see the stage X[ I was so desperate I even tapped the dood's shoulder in front of me and asked him if short people could move up front. Him and the lady beside him just shook their heads at me like I was stupid XD
But Chels and I somehow got a away from the blocks a little more to the left. There were a few nice girls I talked to a bit, and there was this tall dood who had his arms around this girl's shoulders, and his elbow kept getting in the way of my head XP Sometimes there would be links of people trying to get closer to the stage, but they'd always fail xD
SO FINALLY...
It gets all dark and we start hearing the very beginning of The End, the lifeline beeps. The crowd goes mad and everyone's pushing to see the stage. All I saw were heads, mainly Chelsea's. Gerard was rolled out on the gurney and was starting to sing, but I still couldn't see a bloody thing.
Here's an excellant vid (not mine) of what I missed: (yes it was from my show)
I didn't even see him rip off the gown D= Damn being short!
But I'm being pushed a lot (while still maintaining keeping my arm in the air). The crowd went much crazier then at The Bled when MCR came on stage. I've never heard louder cheers XD
But when I finally saw Gerard and the rest of the guys, it was so unreal to me to actually see them in person =D They weren't that far away... it was such an amazing feeling when I layed eyes on the band, in the flesh =]
The first two songs (The End, Dead!) were the craziest, along with House Of Wolves probabaly. I was holding onto Chelsea practically the whole show (bless her, she didn't mind me xD), but I swear a couple times I almost fell because of people pushing (I even thought at one point, 'when is this going to end?' XD). I even got a bit carried away pushing people. But there was always so many other people around, to lean on, to hold on, to help you, w/e. It sounds kinda crazy now, to grab onto strangers anytime during the show, or random people grabbing you...
It was also kinda hard to breathe in the mosh pit, if you're claustrophobic I'd advise you to never be in one. You'd have to lift your head above others' to breathe in fresh, cooler air. It was so hot I was drenched in my own sweat after only a few songs. You'd get used to the smell of so many other sweaty bodies around you XD For a long portion of the show, I had some guy's bare hot hairy arm against my bare arm. It was irritaing enough to give me a small rash, both of my upper arms were red after the show. I also got a lot of hair in my mouth and hands o_O Chelsea's and random girls' I believe, damn heads being the way...
I screamed, I sang, I cheered, I jumped, I pushed, I did just about everything but crowd surf. I think Chelsea said she almost got whacked in the head by somebody's foot.
Oh, and I also waved my Gerard plushie in the air, most likely during Cancer.
Chelsea had my Gee plush and the camera down her shirt most of the time, but at one point, she brought the camera out and started taking pics and used it up, even though we were being tousled a lot (bless her again x3). But alas, when we developed the pics, most of them were of people's backs of necks and heads u_u
Here are the only ones of the band:
GERARD!
Our favourite! XD
BOB!!
..and Gerard
Yes, we had a pretty good spot =D We were basically right in the middle of the pit, anywhere further than 3 people between you and the barrier was basically a wall. It was impossible to get any closer.
Now, I don't remember all the songs they played U__U They played the whole of The Black Parade (I prob cheered the loudest at Sleep, which some girls looked at me strangely when I screamed, and Famous Last Words).
After Mama when Gerard was crying, Chelsea and I just wanted to hug him so badly XD That had to be one of the best songs/performance of the show.
When TBP went off the stage, Blood played over the speakers, which we all sang to =D
And them MCR came on in different attire.
One song they played, and I will probably never forget, was Heaven Help Us =DD They hardly EVER play b-sides at shows. It's one of my fav MCR songs, I was so happy when I heard them play it^^ Chelsea said you should have seen my face when they started it xD
I'll try my best to remember what songs they played (of course I can't remember the order):
- The whole Black Parade album
- I'm Not OK
- Give 'Em Hell, Kid
- You Know What They Do...
- Cemetery Drive
- Heaven Help Us
- Thank You For The Venom
- Helena
(it might be wrong, it probably is ._. Maybe Chelsea can remember a bit..)
Ah... the special effects.. =D The pyro was amazing, I know they used it during Mama, and I can't remember what else. When the fire whooshed up, no matter how far away from the stage you were, it just instantly warmed your face. I think they're going to have more fire for Projekt Revolotion, which makes me excited =D
The confetti cannons were oh so special X3 When you looked up, all you saw was black and white confetti snow. I have a few pieces with me from the show...
And during one song, I forget which, Gerard got up and used this big spotlight on the whole crowd. So cool to have your face shined on =D
Gerard really got the crowd going, but sadly only spoke to us about our good hockey game (who were wining, and Gee said they were late getting onto the stage because they were watching it). Chelsea and I didn't really care at all how well the Sens did. We didn't see much of the Fro, but Ray was def rocking it X] Frankie was his usual crazy hot self. We missed Mikey, but Cortez was easy on the eyes^^ And of course, Chelsea and I squealed over Bob's awesomeness. Chelsea noticed his shorts XD Unfortunately, there were no Freard moments, my eyes perked up whenever Gerard went near Frank, but he only did so much as putting his hand on his back (which I still squealed at XD)
-deep breath-
SO... the show ended with a bang (maybe literally, can't remember), and the loudest cheering and screaming all night.
When everyone was clearing the floor, Chelsea and I stayed and went closer to the barrier. These two boys fighting over a drumstick went by..
I had a something for the band; something of my art that's posted on DA, and a lot of little doodles and notes on the back. It was all crinkled and stained (prob from sweat xD). We went up to the barrier and I (nicely) asked a couple crew members to hand it over to the band, or maybe hand it to someone else who might then give it to the band (the dood hesitated before saying no at that one), but to no avail (I've heard of people doing this, so stfu) u_u
BUT, a crew member was throwing out drumsticks and water bottles from the stage, and Chelsea caught a water bottle! YAYYY!! =DDD We got splashed with water a bit because it was opened and half full. We're were so thirsty from moshing, and excited about our bottle, that we both drank some from it. I was the first one to take a sip, I didn't care about germs then, I mean come on, it could have been Bob's water! XD (for some reason we immediately assumed it was Bob's water)
Bwahahaha we were happy, excited little girls X333
After leaving the stadium, we went to one of the booths in the hallway to buy merch. We waited awhile for other sweaty bodies to finish their buying, and I bought a t-shirt and an armband (all $40 =O), and Chelsea bought a hoodie and a package of pins/stickers (I'm not really sure, but I know the hoodie was $50).
After that, we peeked through a door into the stadium to see if MCR was out for the Meet&Greet, but soom security dood shooed us away.. xD
So, we finaly left the building. I called my sister to tell her to pick us up, but her boyfriend and her were hesitant because the show ended much earlier than we expected.
Chelsea and I made our way, all wobbly and tired, but still very happy, to the grass by the fence surrounding the coach buses. I was drenched with sweat, but the night air was nice and cool. I didn't mind that I smelled awful for some reason XD My new shirt was on my back/around my neck like a cape, and I layed down on the ground, and Chelsea and I, even though you'd expect our voices be tired from too much screaming, talked endlessly about the show, the band in general, how we got into them, etc.
Then my sister and bf came, and it was kinda hard to tell them how amazing the show was, but haha, my sister had a new lipring for me X] -is still wearing it-
I'm not quite sure about how Chelsea feels, but that night was the best night of my life, and I think even Chelsea and I became a bit closer, being in the pit together... I told her going to shows should be like our official thing to do together X3
I LUFF YOU CHELSEA =] <33333
The next day Chelsea and I had to go to school for some community hour program thing, and I had work, which wasn't all that great... but my white MCR shirt I wore at the show was washed, and it still smelled, haha XDD
/END.
BWAH X3 Shoot me, I spent hours typing all that... Actually, if you really read ALL of that, you get a cookie, or two =3 I'm sorry, but this was mostly for myself. I'm glad I finally/actually got all of it down^^ -happy dance-
I'll prob come back and fix mistakes, heheh...
