music post/mini-primer: marianas trench!

I feel the need to clarify right away that this primer is not about the Mariana Trench, aka the deepest point of the Earth's crust, but rather Canada's attempt at Fall Out Boy... except if Pete circa 2005 were the singer/guitarist, and no Joe, Patrick or Andy but rather three other amusing failbros were in the band instead.

I seriously cannot stop listening to them, and Masterpiece Theater has to be the best album I've heard all year.

Also, yay for information on them, because I can find nothing. And I think 'Riverdance' is possibly the best thing on their youtube page... because it really showed the redic/failiness of the band.

As for videos, I just want to know how many white ties Josh owns... because it seems to be a lot. Guh, another tour please so I can roadtrip up to
Canada.

They just have SO MUCH FAIL, it's wonderful. I enjoy them probably too much, way too much. Josh's twitter is particularly great. He tweets about anything and everything! He doesn't have a credit card! He takes pictures of his cat(s)!

Yes, and that twitter only served to enhance the rediculousness of the band.

You know, I don't even have any MT icons myself, since the fandom has been so quiet on LJ-- but now it is slowly building outside of marianastrench and therefore hooray~ :D! I may have to make some, now that more people on my flist will actually recognize them.
