I fed the fruit flies

I left some food out, on the kitchen table over night. I was too tired to take it out. I walked over to the table, mindlessly reaching out to grab the bowl. Upon close inspection; the tiny bowl of untouched fruit salad was surrounded by minute flying insects innocently yet frantically spinning around their prized possession.
