Why is it that during a Presidential Inauguration there has to be someone doing an invocation and talking about god? It actually annoys me considering the amount of people who are of different religions/no religion in the United States. Honestly, it shouldn't even be a part of the ceremony. They swore him in as Barack Hussein Obama, though! Made me happy. Even if he bungled the oath of office *facepalm*
Malia and Sasha looked sooo bored during the invocation and benediction. And at one point during Obama's speech Malia was videoing it on her little camera. Cutie. We were joking it's going to show up on youtube courtesy of mydadisprez98403.

I agree that swearing-in ceremonies shouldn't include bibles (my mom has actually asked and been allowed to swear in to courts in various counties on the dictionary because she's an atheist/humanist. LOL MOM.)

I thought Bush looked younger today than he has in years. I bet he's so glad to be gone.

If I ever have to go to court, I'm deifnitely not swearing on a bible. And yea, Bush did look younger today.

At least they were only 5 minutes late swearing Barack in thought. It was pretty funny that he messed up, I was on the phone with my mom and she was like, you think he's nervous? Haha. The girls are cuties too.

He didn't exactly mess up...Roberts recited it wrong and he paused and then went his own way.

Haha, really? :D I didn't notice that! I meant that he was rushing it a bit and tripped over a word or two. It's hilarious that he knew the Oath of Office better, though.
