Yes, it does. But I like the story. It's not on the level of love with Gurren or east of eden. It's like cotton candy. Sweet, useless fluff. :D I'm not invested enough to buy the volumes yet. :<

For me, as an artist, looking over the art for story is hard for me to do. Cotton candy is also bad for your teeth, too. :P There were these two frames with this guy wearing sunglasses and they looked like they were floating off his face. It was soooo awful that I actually had to question why it was even being published. D:

Yeah. The art is wierd. Its an american manga... I don't really take it seriously. I guess its entertaining enough for me to look over art for once? :0 I was really bored too.

Would you recommend East of Eden? I had heard good things about it, but I'm so out of the anime loop. Like an old lady. D; From what I heard about the plot it sounds really interesting and cerebral, though.

Yeah, the dinner was pretty low-key. Sorry. :c If I did it over again I'd probably emphasize the skits more to the girls. You did a great job though, I loved the story ♥

And is it the Emerald City Comic-con? I went a couple of years ago. It's awesome :D You guys will have a lot of fun.

I would definately recommend people to watch it. Like I said (here? somewhere.) The line of loving it or not is iffy. It's not a traditional anime, and unlike shoujo or regular shounen. It's in a different league than stuff like Haruhi or even Gurren. I read reviews where people said it was more like a Japanese drama with anime elements. The ending actually sucks, so you have to really click with the anime to like it.
I want people to watch at least ep 1, ep 7 for more awesome. Then everyone will know why I find "Johnnnnyyyy!" funny. :D
