My god, being unemployed sucks. I went from having a million things to do, to now planning my day around a trip to Publix. Jesus, I really need to start at BTG soon or otherwise I'm going to go stir crazy

Well my dear, let me give you some pearls of wisdom. (since you have deemed me the representative of the unemployeed....although I'm unemployeed by choice)!! For starters, there is no way in hell I could have unpacked all of our stuff in one weekend. It took me months! We had a ton of stuff, plus all of the loose ends from the wedding. Second, I have a man to take care of. :) Cooking, cleaning, laundry, baking, etc. takes a while when you are doing it for 2. I have a schedule I have for each week, so I stay pretty busy, plus I am always doing some crafty thing. Right now I am framing our blown-up wedding pics, painting pictures frames to match different rooms in the apartment and working on a baby shower for my sister-in-law. Anyway, you should really enjoy yourself. The fact is, that once you start working (now that you are out of college) you won't stop until you are old. Relax and get stuff done you won't do once you are working.
We are going to Orlando this weekend (just in case you are REALLY bored!!)
Wow, Angela. When you said "The fact is, that once you start working (now that you are out of college) you won't stop until you are old," it really made me super glad I found a job that I love and am passionate about! Otherwise, I'd be screwed!
Oh man... unemployment can really suck... then you get a job and it's great... then you get tired of your job and it starts to suck... then you leave your job and unemployment starts sucking again. One of life's truly annoying cycles.
I find picking out random destinations and spending my day biking to them is a good way of spending my regular periods of unemployment. Or flying a kite with a friend (seriously)... drawing... cooking... reading... animating... learning to yo-yo... rock climbing... whatever. Learning and/or doing something active is mentally and physically refreshing while spending the hours by clicking reload on the forums really wears me down.
Anyway... yeah.. what Angela said about enjoying yourself... good advice that is.
