The Trumbull Times just ran an article about last years test scores where Donald Eng (who authors nearly half the paper!) writes:

"Trumbull students improved almost across the board from last year’s disappointing performance. In fact, Trumbull’s math scores made the seventh largest gains in the state, quite an accomplishment considering the scores

just read it and it reinforced my belief that school systems focus far too much energy on standardized tests and not enough in good education.
