In an attempt to explain the last…four or so entries in two words:

Love. Spell.

Except this was more of a “Squick Spell” than anything, I mean...Giles was after Faith? Buffy after Fa--, well. Willow even went as far as to make Wood…not so Woody anymore. And I was just peachy keen until I decided to haul ass upstairs and fall in ‘love’ with Andy. ( Read more... )

I've been thinking about xander escaping it too. The only thing I can come up with is that Xander is the only one of the bunch of you who has absolutely no mystical history or power whatsoever. Buffy and all the other slayers are slayers, giles has a history in dark magicks, willow is a witch, wood is the SON of a slayer (hence there's gotta be something there), andrew summons demons, clem's a demon, and you are a former key. I get the feeling this spell ONLY effected those with somekind of mystical history, power, or liniage, hence xander was exempt. I dunno, just my best theory

Giles' theory is that I never actually saw the person who was supposed to be my new obsession. Not everybody in the house was around on Saturday. Basically, I just got lucky. And I can't tell you how glad I am about that.

Could've been worse. At least you didn't fall in love with... (lemme think, who's a good example here?)... uh, Giles. That would've been icky.

Eww...yeah...I mean Xander would have been icky but Giles would have just been too much ick for even insanity.
