in my humanities class, we're studying books of the Bible.
i don't think my professor is religious at all,
and she teaches all the stories as if they're only myths.

Krista, the whole myth thing is very plausable...especially for the old testiment, Im not very good at describing this stuff as well as aaron, but i think you should probably talk to him about it, he makes it very understandable, while keeping faith still in the picture...and makes it so that hes not disproving it like the teacher probably makes it sound..idk, like i said you should probably just talk to aaron cause im not making any sense..

well, ball state is a public school and as such, all religions should be treated in the same manner. much like the old religions of greece and egypt and such (which are now spoken of as myths) so should christianity, judaism, and islam. why? well, after investigating the social climate of the beginnings of each of the 3 aforementioned world religions, it would make sense to say that "social problem (x) influenced passage (y) in the bible" or qu'ran or the old testament ( ... )

i know what you're saying.
i guess i'm not trying to be close-minded about it,
but it's really hard to look at the Bible that way,
at least for me.
but i'm starting to understand that we're looking more at the way it's written as a myth, and not really the content.
if that makes sense.
