Tropical Depression 4 (aka Debby) has formed off the Cape Verde Islands.I'll be watching this one... it could form into a hurricane over the next 4 days. We're supposed to be in Cancun in 9 days... so yeah, this one could be worrisome

Don't be too concerned. The weather site I use is run by a Guy With A Blog™ who tracks tropical activity in excruciating detail, and his entry on TD 4 says it's unlikely to affect any ground besides the Cape Verde Islands off Africa that it's hitting right now.

That entry mentions another storm stirring in the Caribbean heading towards Mexico, but says it's unlikely to even become a TD, and either way, should be long gone by the time you all get there (and not have done any damage to your destination).

"The long-range GFS model is no longer predicting any new tropical storms forming anywhere in the Atlantic in the next 10 days."

So no worries.
