I hardly update my journal anymore. *shrug*

Anyways, we're gonna talk about movies and books. I have in front of me two Netflix'ed movies that are about to be returned. They're both big disappointments.

First we have Alice: Through the Looking Glass, a 1998 British made-for-TV movie. I think this goes without saying that Becky picked this one ( Read more... )

Oooh---Tell Becky I have the tapes of the original version from the 80's---weird stuff. Had to buy them off e-bay because they are out of print. If she wants them, I'll fed-ex! (I had a nightmare after watching it...)

That was the one I was searching for! What is the official name for it? Maybe I can find it via Netflix again...I really do want to see it though. :)

It's completely out of print. I believe it's a two part thing called "Alice Through the Looking Glass"

Anyway, I have the tapes and could send them to you if you want. It was fun to re-live the childhood movie but I don't think I could stomach it again. :)

That version completely scarred me as a child. I was terrified of it, yet I couldn't stop watching....

Oh, I still have vivid memories of being underway for a few Christmases on a Big White Hull, believe me.

Makes me appreciate being a sand puke all the more. :)

Kate Beckinsale is pretty hot as anything, haha.

Max Brooks came here a year or so back to talk about his Zombie Survival Guide. He was hilarious.

He's gotta be funny.... it's in his genes!

That said, though, his books are deadly serious (though World War Z does have flashes of humor).
