I hate Will Ferrell. So. Much. Over the Hedge was great for the Ben Foldsiness alone.

I thought you were going to NYC for Memorial Day??

It's funny, because I usually *like* Will Ferrell, but Talladega Nights was just flat out dumb.

And over the closing credits of Over the Hedge, I told Becky that the music was Ben Folds, and she goes "Oh! THAT'S who Andrea keeps talking about!"

As for NYC, those plans unfortunately fell through. Ticket prices were way too expensive to justify a 3 day trip out there. :)

I can't stand Shiny Toy Guns. I didn't like the song they played repeatedly on Alt Nation at the end of last year, and I don't like the one they're playing now. PLEASE STOP!!

Well, I like 'em, which is a whole helluva lot more than I can say for most of the bland corporate drek they play nowadays on Alt Nation/Ethel.

^_^ I really like them. Le Disko has been my "dance around to while trying to wake up in the morning" tune for a couple of weeks now.

I bought the whole album from iTunes, and out of the 13 tracks for $7, I only dislike 3 of them. That's a pretty damn good ratio for any band. :)

And, as I've said above, it beats the shit out of most corporate one-hit-wonder rock and bland Britpop that sadly passes for "alternative rock" nowadays.

plus, you get about 23 more cool points for liking Shiny Toy Guns :)
