yeah...posting from hcc again. hm. i really should be researching grafitti, and how it is an "art form" for my art class, but i have no desire to at the moment. i think i've decided on my thesis for my english research paper. my teacher gave us a list of topics, including such topics as abortion, wicca, gay marriage, and terrorism. she didn't say

Grafitti has a type of art.

The "tag" or "throw up" isn't art. That is the part that gives grafitti the bad name,
Now when it comes to a "piece", that is art. I've seen alot of murals done with the grafitti style to it and they come out very good.

Plus, 1 thing can be art to 1 person but be trash to another. That is the thing about "art". You really cannot say what is and what isn't. It all comes down to the person that made it. In their eyes if it is art, then it is. Because art is all about expressing your ideas, your imagination.

yeah im well aware. some graffiti is done solely by gangs, and gang members, the other by, according to my research so far, people called "taggers". i've seen a lot of beautiful murals on walls of buildings. there's a couple i especially remember liking in baltimore.

Graffiti is a very interesting topic. I like the legal kind of graffiti that you would find on murals,clothing and skateboards

I hate the two-party system; I think that it totally sets America up for another civil war. That's why I plan to register Independent because I don't completely identify with the views of either party and, really, right-wing and left-wing extremists both annoy me. Viva la [Independent] Revolution!

maaannnn, if everyone just voted that means all the idiots out there who can't even name the vice president will go and vote completely by hearsay. thats not a true democracy either. "bush is from texas, so i'm a vote for 'im!" people need to be as informed as possible, and choose between the lesser of two evils, not just go vote because they can. that misses the whole point of voting

umm. okay.i don't think kerry is that bad. if anyone is pompous it's the whole fucking administration that's currently in office. blah whatever. i just want bush out. i'd rather have kerry over bush. i really wanted edwards to be the democratic candidate though. :X
