Okay, so I know someone who couldn't survive in the world by herself and yet takes every opportunity she gets to make others feel like they couldn't possibly be her equal because everything she does just so much harder, it takes so much more work, it makes her so responsible, and she's just so mature ( Read more... )

Dude, I have had friends that would say those kinds of things to me. Tell me what I should be doing. It's like, it's none of their concern what you should or could be doing at the moment.
I had someone tell me, "You should really get a job, or go to school." Uh, I'm waiting until the semester starts for school and I have a job. They're so concerned with my life, but don't pay attention. It doesn't make sense.
Oh, and someone else was telling me about working and whatnot, when this person has never had a job and has her husband support her. Wtf, right?

it's something that just really frustrates me.
I get really upset when someone uses someones shortcomings as a way to attack them, and i get really upset when a person can take someone else's struggles and try to make them seem minuscule and instead of trying to help, uses that as an opportunity to brag and belittle.
"oh, I can do that with one hand tied behind my back while on crutches. it's sooo simple."
all the while, like I said, not being able to truely stand on their own two feet in the real world.

I'd just love to slap some people across the face and tell them to get over themselves and stop being such piece of shit human beings.
