I'm back from the road trip...and it wasn't like what I had expected. -------------- First, we drove there and almost died...but it's okay. It took about 3h30 to get to the hotel, then 30 minutes to get to the venue. We looked around, we tried to find the band, but obviously they weren't outside cause it was ****ing cold. At 6h30, we tried to get in, but they decided I couldn't bring my digital camera in...They wanted me to throw it away or hide it outside. I started getting mad and said I wouldn't do it. Anyway, we went outside, hid it in my friend's bra and went in another line-up, at another door. We got in, and realized we were faaaaaaaar from the stage. When I saw them in November, I had good seats, so I guess it's okay. My Chemical Romance played a really bad set. Green Day played a great set, almost the same they played in Montreal, but Billie Joe didnt say .This song's for Johnny Ramone" before Wake Me Up, so I was kinda sad.It wasn't as good as the Montreal's show. ------------------------------------------------- After the show, we went outside and there was huge fences around the bus. The fences where covered with curtains...Obviously, they didnt want us to see them walking to the buses. Anyway, there was like 30 kids waiting there, so we took the curtains off. It was complicated, cause we didnt want the staff to see us, but Tré helped us when he walked out. I was mad at the world, cause these fences just kill the whole thing of how it is supposed to be (for me) between a band and their fans.I talked with Tré through the fence: ------------------------------------------------------------------- ME:-Hey, great show...but why don't you tell the security to take off these ****ing fences...we won't kill you, people are here to talk to you and we've been waiting for 2 hours.//// TRE:- Well, I can't do anything about it//// ME:-I'm sure you can, they'll listen to you.It's YOUR staff.It's not how it's supposed to be between a band and their fans.Bands like The Clash tried to fought against that all their lives.Joe Strummer rolls in his grave. //// TRE:-(...)Shut up.Shut up.////// ME:-Yeah sure. (**dissapointed eyes to make him feel bad.I failed miserably**)/////// ------------------------------------------------------------ Then Mike walked out and didnt even look at us. It kinda destroyed the vision I had of the band, and music in general. Billie Joe stopped and signed stuff and talked to us. We told him we drove all the way from Montreal to see them again but that it was worth it. He said: "Oh, really?that's awesome.Thanks!". Then he had to go cause the bus call was kinda early.I took picture through the fence.I might post them, but they suck cause the flash reflected on the metal of the fence. --------------------------------------------------------- We drove back to MOntreal, I took the bus to St-Jean and decided not to go to school cause there were only 2 class left that day.
